Although mostly quiet on transfer deadline day, Manchester City did manage to complete late deals for 19-year-old Atletico Venezuelan midfielder Yangel Herrera and promising Valencia prospect Nabil Touaizi. As it stands, though, neither of those is likely to make an impact this season, and Champions League qualification remains the goal for Pep Guardiola’s side. The Citizens delivered a resounding 4-0 victory over West Ham on Wednesday, picking up vital points to again go level with Liverpool in the table, though they trail on goal difference. Gabriel Jesus impressed in his first start, scoring one and assisting another. The 19-year-old Brazilian’s adaptation to life in England has been impressively swift, and he looks like he could be a real difference maker in the second half of the season.

On the other side, Swansea have won three of their four Premier League games in 2017, including most recently a 2-1 victory over Southampton. Paul Clement has already done a wonderful job with a limited squad, dragging the Swans out of the relegation zone and level with Middlesbrough and Leicester. Bringing in Jordan Ayew from Aston Villa was a somewhat splashy move that could aid the offense.
