Spring games are an important fabric of SEC football. Here are the game times and television schedules for all 14 SEC spring football games.

It’s the middle of February. For many down south, that means it is only a few weeks away from the beginning of SEC football spring practice. The SEC institutions always seem to make the most of these 15 or so practices every spring semester.

Five of the 14 SEC schools have released the date of their first spring practice. The first team that will put on the shells this spring will be the South Carolina Gamecocks. Will Muschamp’s team will begin spring practice on Saturday, Feb. 25.

Auburn will begin theirs on Tuesday, Feb. 28. The Florida Gators begin spring ball on Tuesday, Mar. 7. LSU will commence spring practice on Saturday, Mar. 11. Arkansas kicks off spring practice on Tuesday, Mar. 28.

All but private school Vanderbilt have released the date of their annual spring game. The Commodores will tentatively have theirs on Friday, Mar. 31. As per usual, all 14 spring games will be nationally televised on the ESPN network of channels.

  • Alabama Crimson Tide: Saturday, Apr. 22, 3:00 p.m. ET, ESPN

In the coming days, Vanderbilt will almost certainly announce its official start time for its annual spring game. The Commodores and the eight other schools that have not announced the day of its first spring practice will probably do the same here shortly.

One thing that stands out heading into SEC spring practice is that there is no new face leading a team. Technically this is the first year of the Ed Orgeron era with the LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge, but he had been the interim head coach of LSU since October.
