Jarrius “J.J.” Robertson has stolen the hearts of millions throughout the country, and has made plenty of headlines during NBA All-Star weekend.

Jarrius Robertson, the 14-year-old battling a chronic liver disease called biliary atresia, has touched millions while making his young life more memorable each day. Since he was born, Robertson has battled surgery after surgery, even having a liver transplant at the age of one that left him in a coma for almost a year.

Robertson is a hero. Starting his own foundation, “It Takes Lives to Save Lives,” Robertson has put his story out there in hopes of saving others. Still waiting for a liver transplant, this upbeat kid is taken the world by storm, and he’s looking to cheer up everyone he passes.

His life has been a miracle. One that plenty of people have taken notice of and respect. Since he became the New Orleans Saints’ “super fan,” Robertson has made his mark on the sports world. He’s become a public figure in New Orleans, attending Saints’ games and practices.

With his hard work and constant game tips, Robertson is just as much a Saint as any player on the roster. In October of 2016, Saints’ head coach, Sean Payton, gave Robertson his biggest sports moment. Signing him as “honorary Saint,” Payton gave one of the most influential members of the sports world the gift of a lifetime.

At the NFL Honors, Robertson brought his smile and awarded Green Bay Packers’ wide receiver Jordy Nelson Comeback Player of the Year. Now that the 2017 NBA All-Star game is in New Orleans, it was impossible to keep the city’s biggest star out of the action.

His week started out with some quality interviews with some of the NBA’s best. Sharing moments with Russell Westbrook, Draymond Green and Anthony Davis, Robertson became the focus of the most entertaining weekend in basketball. Then, he performed the best interview of the night with the NBA on TNT crew.

What really stole the show, though, was his actual play. Late in the fourth quarter of the NBA All-Star Celebrity game, coach Michael Smith gave the ice man himself some action. With a minute and 18 seconds lefts in the game, Robertson drained the most memorable shot of All-Star Weekend. A truly remarkable moment for the city’s beloved Saint.

Jarrius “J.J.” Robertson continues to fight. He may be the most inspiring person in sports. With his charm and upbeat personality, no one can say they aren’t a fan. If we could all wear his No. 1 New Orleans jersey, we would. Because there’s little question that this kid is a superstar.
