The NBA All-Star Legends Game (All-Star Weekend)
From 1984 to 1993, NBA All-Star Weekend featured the NBA All-Star Legends Game/Legends Classic/Old Timers Game, an exhibition game between the NBA’s aging elite.
In today’s episode, we look at the history of the Legends Game, its beginning in the 50s and 60s, why it was brought back in 1984 and why it went away in 1993.
Along the way we look at the great individual performances in Legends Game history, notable single games, Dave Bing’s inability to shoot or score, shocking levels of competence and of course, our plea for the game to return to NBA All-Star Weekend.
