The Milwaukee Bucks suffer yet another key injury this time to Michael Beasley

The Milwaukee Bucks have not had the best luck with injuries this year. They lost Khris Middleton for the beginning of this season due to an injury suffered during last season’s disappointment. Just when Middleton was preparing to make his return, Jabari Parker tore his ACL and is out for the remainder of this season. Now, it appears they’ve lost a key rotation player in Michael Beasley.

The Bucks signed Beasley to mainly be a bench scoring option. He wasn’t expected to have a major role on the team and honestly there were arguments to be made he would hurt more than help. However, Beasley has shown that his time out of the league has made him into a very useful NBA player. He provides a good scoring punch and doesn’t try to do too much when he is on the court. In a season that’s lacked consistency Milwaukee was in dire need of this. Unfortunately, the video of Beasley’s injury says he will probably not play for the rest of the season. A fair warning, the video is difficult to watch.

Beasley’s knee bent entirely in the wrong direction and the result was obviously not a good one. He managed to for the most part make it off the court under his own power, but he needed assistance getting back to the locker room. Let’s not jump the gun and try to predict the severity of his injury, but at the moment it doesn’t look good.

This is really disappointing for a player that’s undergone a career revolution. Beasley appeared to be out of the NBA before his return last year, and the way he’s played in Milwaukee gave a lot of hope he would stick around. Hopefully he’ll make a full recovery and continue to play well when he returns.
