26. Gerald McCoy – $84,613,033

With the third overall selection in the 2010 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected Gerald McCoy out of Oklahoma. Since that day, McCoy has established himself as one of the better defensive tackles in the game, earning five Pro Bowl nods during his time with the team. At 28 years old, McCoy has a bunch of good football left in him, and the Buccaneers made sure to lock him up for the foreseeable future.

McCoy’s rookie contract was a good one, as the former Sooner signed a five-year, $55 million deal before stepping foot on an NFL field. In 2014, McCoy once again inked a big-time deal, agreeing to a six-year, $95.2 million extension with the team. Of that $95.2 million, $51 million of it is guaranteed, and the contract will make sure McCoy is in a Buccaneers uniform until at least 2022.

By the time McCoy’s current contract is over, he will only be 34-years old, which means he could be in line for another small contract before his career is over. The Tampa Bay Bucs have begun to turn their franchise around, and McCoy has been a big reason why the team is on the brink of being a playoff team for years to come.

McCoy is currently entering his prime with the team, and if he continues to develop as a player, he could be enshrined in Canton, Ohio one day.
