Gwen Stefani returns to The Voice after a two-season absence; how will she do? Here’s how you can watch the season 12 premiere live, on TV and online.

Love is supposed to be in the air with season 12 of NBC‘s The Voice, as Gwen Stefani comes back to the singing competition for the first time since season 9. But will it really be a happy return?

Season 12, episode 1 is formally called “The Blind Auditions Premiere, Night 1” because it’s the first of three new episodes this week. All three will feature Stefani, Alicia Keys, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton looking for 48 more hopeful singers to fill out their teams.

And it likely won’t be a love fest. Despite the network using “Feel The Love” as its advertising slogan for this season, audiences know that the blind auditions involve the coaches saying or doing anything to beat each other.

Here’s how NBC officially describes the episode:

"In the season premiere, the competition is fierce, the talent is exceptional and the surprises abound as coaches Alicia Keys, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani all vie to discover and coach the next singing phenomenon from the country’s best vocalists in the “blind auditions.” The vocalists compete to be selected by one of the coaches and fight for a chance to win the title of “The Voice.”"
