Online sports book Bovada has released its first MLB win totals for the 2017 season. The Cubs sit atop the leaderboard with the Dodgers, Red Sox and Indians close behind.

Think your favorite Major League Baseball team will be better than the talking heads on television or the stats-fueled computer projections systems say they are? It’s time to put your money where your mouth is.

Bovada has released its initial 2017 MLB win totals, which means online bettors can now wager on whether or not each of the 30 big league teams will rise above or fall short of their preseason expectations. Of course, win totals are also a useful metric for all fans as they gauge the lay of the land ahead of a long season.

Not surprisingly, the defending World Series champion Chicago Cubs have the highest win total on the board at 95.5, though the number is significantly lower than the 103 victories the club piled up in the regular season last year. The Los Angeles Dodgers are close behind the Cubs with a listed total of 93.5, while the San Diego Padres (66.5) bring up the rear.

With a 92.5-win total posted for both, the odds makers expect the Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Indians to battle for American League supremacy, while the rebuilding Chicago White Sox (69.5) are expected to suffer through a painful campaign.

The complete list of 2017 MLB win totals at Bovada (2016 record in parentheses):

For those looking for value, the current Fangraphs projections expect the A’s (79 projected wins), Rays (82) and Angels (83) to exceed the odds makers’ lines by three games or more, while the Mets (85) are projected to fall short of their Bovada win total. Baseball Prospectus’ PECOTA also likes the Rays (84) chances of hitting the over.

Next: Top question for every World Series contender

PECOTA is also bullish on the Dodgers (98), Astros (93), Twins (80), White Sox (76), Brewers (76), Reds (75), but doesn’t like the odds facing the Orioles (73) and Royals (71) – as usual – nor the Cardinals (76) or Rockies (76).
