Marcin Gortat catches John Wall pass with his face (Video)

Marcin Gortat and John Wall are usually on the same page with the Washington Wizards. Just not this time, as Wall drills Gortat in the face with this pass.
The Washington Wizards are a really good basketball team. This Eastern Conference team has taken Scott Brooks’ coaching very well in 2016-17. The Wizards are in third place in the East and lead the Atlanta Hawks in the Southeast Division. It helps having great players like John Wall and Marcin Gortat.
Wall is magnificent as a passer and Gortat has been a grossly underrated big man in the NBA for years. They usually have great on-court chemistry, but not on this particular play. Wall straight up drills Gortat in the noggin with this too slick of a dime.
Washington had a tough road game against the Toronto Raptors on Thursday night. The Wizards are dominant at home, but struggle away from the Verizon Center. Gortat would go up for a rebound, but could not come up with it.
Wall would gather the loose ball and quickly try to flip it to Gortat at the free throw line. It was a swift flick of the wrist and slightly underhanded. It clearly caught Gortat off guard. The ricochet of his giant bald head would set up the Raptors to run in transition.
Basically the Wizard that is Wall hammered the Polish Hammer with this act of on-court sorcery. It was pretty much Expelliarmus and Gortat hit the hardwood would like he was Gilderoy Lockhart.

When a player has that much magic in his hands like Wall does, it can be hard to fully harness. Gortat is a splendid wizard, but not the sorcerer that is Wall. Even when they do dumb stuff, this era of Wizards basketball is fun!
