The Wildcats, Ducks and Bruins are in a stand-off for the regular season championship of the Pac-12. By the end of the weekend, only one will be crowned Pac-12 Champion or the more likely scenario, a tie. Yuck.

With the final week left in the season, the Pac-12 race has come down to three teams, and Arizona, Oregon and UCLA are all considered Final Four contenders. Meanwhile, USC has hit the skids and Utah and Cal continue to fight their way to an NCAA bid. In the final week of the season before conference tournaments, we pretty much know it’s down to Arizona, Oregon and UCLA but there’s plenty of teams in the conference with much more to play for.

Oregon State Beavers

Last week: 5-25 (1-16 Pac-12)
Last rank: 12

The Oregon State Beavers have one conference win, which is good, but for the most part we all need to be looking for next season when it comes to the Beavers. They wrap up the season hosting the rival Oregon Ducks at home on Saturday. After that they will venture to Las Vegas for the Pac-12 Conference Tournament. More than likely they will see an early exit and look forward to the 17-18 season. I’d expect and hope that the Beavers can have a much better season a year from this point.

Washington Huskies

Last week: 9-19 (2-14 Pac-12)
Last rank: 11

Lorenzo Romar’s time is coming to an end in Seattle in the most train wreck-like way possible. Losers of 10 in a row and the likelihood of a 10-win season, this past week had the Huskies lose to rival Washington State and now they’ve got two games against both tourney bound-LA schools. With Markelle Fultz a sure fire lottery pick in the NBA Draft this coming summer, he’s sadly wasted a season in Seattle with the Huskies and now things seem to be up in the air as it appears the fan base and program are at a crossroads.
