Friday, Mar. 3 will be the only day that all the players will be in Indianapolis for the 2017 NFL Scouting Combine. Here is the itinerary for Day 4.
We are about halfway through the 2017 NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Friday, Mar. 3 will mark Day 4 of the weeklong event where college and pro football worlds collide.
This will be the only day that every player that was invited to the scouting combine will be in attendance. The last of the arrivals will make it to Indianapolis, while the earliest groups will be finishing up their on-field evaluations on Friday.
Here is a look at the itinerary for all four groups during Day 4 of the 2017 NFL Scouting Combine:
Groups
Day 1 arrivals: Special teams, offensive linemen, running backs
Day 2 arrivals: Quarterbacks, wide receivers, tight ends
Day 3 arrivals: Defensive linemen, linebackers
Day 4 arrivals: Cornerbacks, safeties
Schedule
Day 1 arrivals: On-field workouts, departure
Day 2 arrivals: Psychological testing, meeting with NFLPA, media, bench press, interviews
Day 3 arrivals: Measurements, medical testing, interviews
Day 4 arrivals: Arrival, registration, medical examinations, orientation, interviews
Friday will be particularly important for two of the four arrival groups. The Day 1 arrivals of the offensive lineman and the running backs will get to do field work in their underwear. This includes popular combine events like the 40-yard dash, the three-cone drill, and the shuttle run. The 40-yard dash is so crucial for the running backs, while the shuttle run holds significance for the offensive linemen.
For the Day 2 arrivals of the quarterbacks, wideouts and tight ends, we’ll get to see how they interact with the media and if they can pump some iron. The quarterbacks will need to ace the media interview portion. Look for the tight ends to do work in the bench press.

We’ll also see if defensive front-seven players have been eating right and exercising from their weigh-ins. Let’s not forget that the defensive backs will be arriving in style.
