The Atlanta Hawks (34-26) will host the Cleveland Cavaliers (41-18) on Friday night. Here is how to watch this NBA game online.
The Cleveland Cavaliers lost in heartbreaking fashion to the Boston Celtics Wednesday night, after Deron Williams missed a 3-pointer with 4.2 seconds left that could have given them the lead. Still, the Cavaliers can claim the best record in the Eastern Conference after winning nine of their past 12 games. Cleveland will continue to build their chemistry as they welcome new pieces into the fold, ending a three-game road trip in Atlanta Friday night.
Deron Williams made his debut Wednesday night playing a total of 24 minutes, though most of his minutes came in the fourth quarter. Cleveland is set to get more experience on the roster, as they await the signing of Andrew Bogut, bumping up their bench a notch. Kyle Korver will make his first return to Atlanta, after being dealt on Jan. 7. He is still third on the Hawks’ all time 3-point shooting list.
The Atlanta Hawks will be looking to clinch a playoff berth for the 10th straight season. The Hawks opened up their six-game homestead with a close 100-95 win over the Denver Nuggets, behind Paul Millsap’s 18 points, 10 assists, and 8 rebounds Wednesday night. Atlanta will look to get the better of Cleveland again, as they did in their last match-up, escaping with a 110-106 win in Cleveland.
Cleveland’s 3-point shooters continues to give Atlanta issues, they’ve averaged 14.3 made 3s per game against them this season, so look for the Hawks to focus on shutting down the perimeter. Mike Budenholzer has adjusted to life without Korver putting younger players into bigger roles. Tim Hardaway Jr. has taken advantage, scoring double-figures in 15 straight games.
