DraftKings NHL Picks for Friday March 3rd
Tonight’s slate features six games, with Carolina (3.4), Chicago (3.3), Anaheim (3.1), and Pittsburgh (3.1), holding the best projected team totals. I’ll be targeting players from these teams in cash games. Here are my DraftKings NHL picks.
TB vs. PIT (-165), O/U: 5.5
ARI vs. CAR (-238), O/U: 5.5
STL vs. WPG (-120), O/U: 5.5
NYI vs. CHI (-210), O/U: 5.5
DET vs. CGY (-160), O/U: 5
TOR vs. ANA (-160), O/U: 5.5
DraftKings NHL Picks:
Henrik Zetterberg – DET (C) – $5300
Detroit will travel to Calgary to take on the Flames, in a match up in which Detroit is a +140 underdog. While the upside may be capped due to the match up, Henrik Zetterberg remains a value play, due to his peripheral fantasy scoring. Zetterberg has been extremely consistent of late, recording an average of 2.64 shots on goal and .36 blocks this month. He has also seen a bump in playing time and is now averaging over 20 minutes per game. His time on the ice provides ample opportunity for fantasy production, and given the Wings’ team total, he may fly under the radar.
Phil Di Giuseppe – CAR (W) – $3600
I recommended Phil Di Giuseppe in his last outing, and I will again here as he’s severely under-priced given his time on the top line and second power play unit. Carolina will host the visiting Coyote’s, who allow the second most shots against (33.7). Di Giuseppe’s time on the ice has fluctuated, but he’s still been able to accrue shots on goal, and is averaging four shots per game, since being called up.
Elias Lindholm – CAR (W) – $4600
Elias Lindholm is another source of value from the Canes tonight. Lindholm is slated to play alongside of Rask and Aho, on the second line. Lindholm has seen roughly a half of a minute increase in his playing time and is now averaging over 19 minutes per game this month. At only $4600, these minutes are fairly discounted. It’s also important to note that Lindholm will have upside, playing on the top power play unit. Last night, were able to exploit Arizona’s penalty kill unit, as Buffalo recorded two power play goals. We’ll be looking for Lindholm to take advantage of that tonight.
