Jarrett Jack seems to have suffered yet another injury. The New Orleans Pelicans point guard has torn his right meniscus and will miss the next 4-6 weeks.

The last two NBA seasons have been disastrous for veteran NBA point guard Jarrett Jack. He tore the ACL in his knee last NBA season when he was the starting point guard for the Brooklyn Nets. Jack would be waived by Brooklyn in June 2016, ultimately signing with the Atlanta Hawks in July 2016.

He couldn’t stick with the professional team in the city where he played college ball at in Georgia Tech. Atlanta would release him. Jack would recover from his knee injury to sign with the New Orleans Pelicans on a 10-day contract on Feb. 24.

Two games in to his tenure with the Pelicans, Jack has suffered a right lateral meniscus tear. The Pelicans official Twitter account states that he will miss the next four to six weeks. With the Pelicans likely missing the Western Conference Playoffs, that means Jack will have play in two games this season.

Jack is the most recent player to suffer a major injury with the Pelicans. This Southwest Division team seems to have the worst luck with injuries of any team in recent years. Jack was supposed to back up the often-injured point guard Jrue Holiday for a potential playoff push.

That does not seem to be the case any more. At 33 years old, the former star point guard for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets might be seeing his NBA career coming to an end. When healthy, Jack is a top-tier backup point guard. However, declining health may quickly have him out of the league.
