Floyd Mayweather became the victim of a violent vandal attack in Birmingham

During a recent trip to the United Kingdom, boxing legend Floyd Mayweather was the target of a serious vandal attack.

Mayweather, who was holding an event at the Birmingham International Convention Centre, has been overseas making speaking appearances as part of his “Undefeated” tour. During the event, TMZ reported the windows of Mayweather’s van were broken, before Molotov cocktails were thrown inside, setting the vehicle ablaze.

No one was injured in the incident.

The aftermath of the attack was seen in a video captured by Instagram user Simon Singh you can see below.

According to the report, a representative for the Ladywood Fire Station, two individuals were behind the attack. This isn’t the first time Mayweather saw his vehicles up flames, but it is most certainly the most violent. In the past, a trailer transporting Mayweather’s Bentley and two Rolls Royce burned down to the ground.

In terms of competition, Mayweather (49-0, 26 (T)KOs), has not stepped foot inside a boxing ring since his decision win over Andre Berto in September 2015, for which he earned $32 million.

Since then, Mayweather has been linked to a hypothetical superfight against UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor, much to the chagrin of boxing’s elite.

In an attempt to make the fight a reality, Mayweather claims to have offered McGregor $15 million to accept the bout, citing his price tag was $100 million. However, White countered this offer and said he was willing to offer Mayweather $25 million, plus pay-per-view revenue.

The man known as ‘Money’ could only scoff at White’s offer, before putting McGregor on blast for demanding more than he was worth.

While there were reports that both sides had finally reached an agreement, Mayweather later refuted the rumors and no concrete plans for the fight currently exist.
