How did the match between Sasha Banks and Nia Jax at WWE Fastlane 2017 play out?

Sasha Banks and Nia Jax were far from strangers entering WWE Fastlane. The two have had several run-ins with one another over the past few months, all leading to the pay-per-view on Sunday from Milwaukee. And right away, it was clear that Jax was going to be a powerful force for The Boss to have to overcome.

Though Sasha started out in the match as the aggressor, it was as if she were just standing there doing nothing. Jax was completely unaffected before leveling her opponent and then looking to take control. She did so with ease and began breaking down Banks with a series of strikes and powerful submissions.

Jax looked like she might be getting a bit too methodical at one point as she tried to trap Sasha in the corner. However, it was all for naught on the part of Banks as her offense again had very little effect. That then allowed Jax to come back, hoist Banks onto her shoulders and lock in a massive torture rack to, well, torture her foe:

As she left the torture rack locked in for too long, the sly veteran Banks was able to maneuver out and hang on as she locked in a front guillotine choke. Every time that Jax would look to try and get out of it, she simply couldn’t get rid of the feisty Sasha.

Continuing to try and ground the powerful Jax, Sasha was then able to lock in the Bank Statement. However, Nia Jax broke the hold and then came back strong. When Banks came running at her to try and take her out, Jax planted her and then hit a wicked splash:

The maniacal Nia Jax then cost herself, though. She began taunting Sasha Banks and screaming at her face while she held her by the hair and head. In doing so, she left herself vulnerable.

Banks took advantage of that and rolled up Jax for the three-count. That gave her the win, despite taking the bulk of the damage throughout the match.
