Fabian Moreau

cornerback, UCLA

This is a deep cornerback class. That is why the Jets should be smart to bet on their safe picks early and find some value in Bowser and Moreau late. Moreau has the size at 195 pounds. He also the speed and ability, as he showed at the combine. Still, in such a deep and talented class, there is a great chance that a guy like Moreau will be available in the middle rounds.

The Jets obviously have to replace Darrelle Revis. While they could do that at sixth overall with Marshon Lattimore, they could be finding similar value two rounds later in Moreau. Moreau is a former running back, so his technique and abilities are raw. Still, he possesses the athletic ability to be a man-cover corner. He can follow receivers around and may be able to give productive snaps as a rookie. He has great upside for his draft position, and would the spark that they need badly in the back end.

There will be a lot of talented cornerbacks falling into the middle rounds in this draft class. While they take advantage of some of the other positions early, they can invest late on cornerback and hope to find a starter or two, similar to the Carolina Panthers in replacing Josh Norman.
