Unrestricted free-agent Terrelle Pryor reportedly visited with the Washington Redskins on Thursday night but left without a deal in place.

At first, it seemed that there was a mutual interest between Terrelle Pryor and the Cleveland Browns to get a deal done, but now it seems like Pryor has been lost in the shuffle in the first days of free agency.

According to Master Tesfatsion of the Washington Post, Terrelle Pryor met with the Redskins on Thursday night but left without a deal.

The former Ohio State quarterback turned wide receiver, had an impressive year with the Browns as he racked up 1,005 receiving yards despite having six different starting quarterbacks throw him the ball at one point during the season.

The Browns made it clear at the beginning of the free-agency period that they wanted to re-sign Jamie Collins and Terrelle Pryor as soon as possible to keep them off of the market.

Things obviously didn’t go as planned as they managed to sign Jamie Collins to a four-year, $50 million dollar contract and then went a totally different route and signed Kenny Britt to a four-year deal worth $32.5 million dollars.

While a wide receiver core of Terrelle Pryor, Kenny Britt, and Corey Coleman would be ideal for whoever is quarterbacking the Browns, it seems that Pryor has started to spread his wings and listen to offers elsewhere.

It doesn’t surprise me that Pryor left without a deal especially with all the news surrounding Washington’s general manager Scot McCloughan. It definitely wasn’t the best of timing, firing the GM in the midst of free-agency frenzy, but it was a move that had to be done.

The Browns had reportedly made an offer to Pryor that was around $8.1 million dollars a year but was turned down by his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, who was looking closer to $15 million a year. It hasn’t been released if the Redskins made an offer, but if the Browns are committed to getting Pryor back, they might have to bump their offer up.
