DE, Michigan

The Green Bay Packers had an incredible run to the playoffs last season, erasing a 4-6 start to finish the regular season at 10-6. Green Bay then went into the playoffs and ran off two victories, earning a spot in the NFC Championship Game. While the Packers got throttled in the game, they showed the NFL that they are still one of the best teams in the league.

In 2017, the Packers need to build off that success, but they are having a pretty peculiar offseason. They have seen Eddie Lacy, T.J. Lang, and Julius Peppers all leave via free agency, while picking up Martellus Bennett and to fill in the role left by the departed Jared Cook. The loss of Peppers could prove to be a big one, as he was still a fearless pass rusher this late in his career.

At No. 29, the Packers should be able to grab a player who can fill the void left by Peppers. Taco Charlton played along the defensive line in college, but he has the speed to be an outside linebacker at the next level. Whether he plays on the edge, or at linebacker, he is going to be a very good player at the next level, and would fit in perfectly in the Packers defensive scheme next season.
