When and where to watch NASCAR from California this weekend

You don’t need to ask your TV which channel to watch NASCAR this weekend since we’ve got the relevant details for you.

NASCAR Goes West wouldn’t be complete without a visit to about as far west as you can go, meaning California. The Auto Club Speedway plays host to both the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and the XFINITY Series before the 2017 schedule takes them back across the country to Virginia next week.

In the Cup Series, the obvious question is what Kyle Larson needs to do to get to Victory Lane. The series points leader is authoring one of the craziest “close but not quite” stories ever: he was leading the Daytona 500 on the final lap before he ran out of gas, and his No. 42 Chevy has finished second in every race since.

At the top of the XFINITY Series standings, it’s a battle of experience and youth. Elliott Sadler has the points lead but is being chased by rookie William Byron and Roush Fenway’s Ryan Reed. Another veteran, Justin Allgaier, is right behind Reed and is the only other XFINITY regular with a win so far in 2017.
