Did WWE hint at Matt and Jeff Hardy appearance at WrestleMania 33?

With all of the recent stuff with Matt and Jeff Hardy, WWE may have dropped a big hint about a possible WrestleMania 33 appearance.

One of the hottest topics in wrestling these days has been “Broken” Matt Hardy and Brother Nero, Jeff Hardy. After a much-publicized departure recently from Impact Wrestling, they moved on to Ring of Honor. But could they be making their way to WWE for “the ultimate thrill ride” at WrestleMania?

Longtime WWE fans will know the legacy that Matt and Jeff Hardy have left on the industry. They revolutionized tag team wrestling, and made tag team ladder matches a huge part of the Attitude Era. And it appears as though we could see the brothers back in the fold sooner than later. The above Tweet from the WWE Netork account kind of hints at that possibility.

This past week, both Matt and Jeff were reportedly officially offered contracts to return to WWE. The question though is what version of the Hardyz would we get?  The classic TLC battle-tested Hardyz most of us grew up with, or this new “Broken” edition? Matt’s recent transformation has unquestionably been the best thing that has ever happened to his career. Jeff was always seen as the standout member of the team, with the unique looks he sported and usual disregard for his own safety on most nights. But as “Broken” Matt Hardy, he has suddenly become the most talked about entity in sports entertainment.

A return at WrestleMania 33 would be a perfect opportunity to put the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Titles on the line. Jimmy and Jey Uso, who have undergone their own transformation recently, don’t currently have any plans for WrestleMania. A match between these two or even a TLC match with American Alpha thrown in could make for a spectacular tag title match.

WWE fans would gladly welcome them back with open arms, and honestly I think it’s just a matter of time before they do grace the WWE Universe with their presence. And judging from that hint that was dropped on Sunday, WWE is about to get real interesting.
