After a dozen seasons, Bones bids goodbye to Seeley Booth and Temperance Brennan. Here’s how you can watch the series finale live, on TV and online.

Will fans of FOX‘s Bones get their happy ending? The long-running procedural signs off on Tuesday after 12 seasons with heroine Temperance Brennan struggling to put away the final villain.

Season 12, episode 12 is called “The End in the End” and sees Brennan (Emily Deschanel) having an unspecified “setback” as she tries to stop Mark Kovac (guest star Gerard Celasco). While we don’t know what that setback is, it’s big enough that the rest of the Jeffersonian team has to continue the investigation without her.

But because this is the final episode of the series Brennan doesn’t stay on the sidelines forever and it will come down to her and her husband-partner Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) to find Kovac — and find some closure for themselves and the show’s devoted fans.

Here’s how FOX officially describes the episode:

"With Kovac still at large, the team searches for evidence to track him down. After Brennan experiences a setback, the rest of the team must figure out how to find Kovac without her, putting everything she has ever taught them to the test. When all signs point to Kovac having outside help, as well as a hideout, Booth and Brennan go searching for him."
