The original Venom is reunited with the symbiote in Venom #6, but does it feel so good for the rest of the Marvel Universe?

One of the most popular villains in the Spider-Man universe is, of course, Venom, but it hasn’t been the original man inside the black symbiote suit in quite some time.

In a press release from Marvel to accompany the first look at Venom #6, the company announced that not only were they bringing back Eddie Brock, it was also bringing back some of the best artistic talent — including Todd McFarlane and Gerardo Sandoval — to do the variant covers and artwork.

From the press release:

"“It’s a battle for the ages as new Venom host Lee Price throws down with your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man! But amid the chaos and the fury of battle, a familiar face returns! That’s right, Eddie Brock is back to reclaim his rightful place as the one-and-only Venom! Can symbiote and host coexist as they once did? With Eddie Brock back on the board, what will become of Lee Price?”"

According to Flickering Myth, Venom #6 will be the final comic release before the mega-anthology, Venom #150, is released. The comic will be written by Mike Costa, with art and cover by Gerardo Sandoval. The remastered variant cover will be inked by Todd McFarlane, co-creator of Venom. There will also be a ResurrXion cover, and that will be penned by Dan Mora, who is best known for his work in the DC Universe (namely, with Batman and Robin, Wonder Woman, and the Joker).
