Dan Skipper

Offensive Tackle, Arkansas

The Dallas Cowboys have to address their offensive line depth at some point in the draft. On paper, they have five starters. But what if one of them goes down? Dan Skipper from Arkansas will need about a year of seasoning, but he has excellent size at 6-foot-10. He will have to overcome his short arms, but he has decent technique. Skipper will likely turn into a solid swingman at tackle, which has value to a team like the Cowboys.

Michael Roberts

Tight End, Toledo

Even though they just extended Jason Witten, the Cowboys have to start thinking about his replacement. He’s aging and he won’t be around forever. It makes sense for Dallas to target a project at tight end in the later rounds. There is perhaps no prospect more intriguing than Michael Roberts. He’s trying to join the likes of Julius Peppers and Antonio Gates as players who made the transition from the court to the football field.

Fish Smithson

Safety, Kansas

The Cowboys must add to their safety depth after losing some key members to their secondary. Fish Smithson is an undersized prospect who plays with a lot of intensity. He shows hints of being a playmaker with six interceptions over his past two seasons. Down the line, Smithson might turn into a solid starting safety, but he must improve his tackling first.
