WWE WrestleMania 33: Ideal booking for each match

RAW Tag Team Championship Triple Threat Ladder Match: Gallows & Anderson (c) vs. Enzo & Cass vs. Sheamus & Cesaro

While I said that there isn’t any fantasy booking, what I’m about to suggest is going to sound like that. Matt and Jeff Hardy need to be a part of this match. With reports saying that there return is imminent and that only the date needs to be decided, it’d make sense if the plan was for them to come back in this match. The Hardy Boyz revolutionized the ladder match in WWE, so having them return in one would be a great call-back and way to get them back into the fold.

That said, there are other ways to bring them back. If they do return at WWE WrestleMania 33, they almost have to emerge as the winners. You can’t bring back a name like Matt and Jeff Hardy and not put them over, frankly. If they weren’t to return, though, the ideal outcome would be to have Enzo & Cass get their triumphant moment to a predictably loud pop.

Intercontinental Championship Match: Dean Ambrose (c) vs. Baron Corbin

Though we’ve seen this match and feud developing for quite some time, it was a surprisingly late add to the official card. Even still, there’s a good bit of animosity between these two and things should play out accordingly. This match needs to be brutal, needs to be hard-hitting and needs to end with both men limping out of the stadium—no matter who wins.

As for who the winner needs to be, it’s got to be Corbin. Ambrose is tremendously talented and, if they ever actually got behind him, he could be even more over and successful. However, SmackDown is ultimately short on heels that can compete at the top of the card. Corbin could be that guy and perhaps this push is what he needs to get to that level.
