Damontae Kazee

Cornerback, San Diego State

As mentioned, this is an outstanding cornerback class. While Witherspoon brings outside upside, Kazee is a different breed. Kazee is a player destined to play the slot, and for the Redskins will compete for snaps in the slot in 2017. He defends the run well and likes to step up and tackle. He also has quick feet and should be able to hold his own in the NFL. Being limited to the slot with his size will push him down this far, but he is another great find in this cornerback class.

201

Elijah McGuire

Runningback, UL-Lafayette

McGuire would be the perfect compliment to Robert Kelly. Kelly is a between the tackles runner and strong goal line back. McGuire is a back who is better at catching the ball out of the backfield and could potentially jump in as a third down back in 2017. He is a small school product, but has great tape and could be another late round gem.

209

D.J. Jones

Nose Tackle, Ole Miss

When Stacy McGee, Terrell McClain, and Ziggy Hood are the current starters on the depth chart, you are going to the well twice to upgrade the defensive line. Jones is a solid nose tackle, and between Johnson and Jones, the Redskins should be able to get some impact snaps in 2017.

220

Hardy Nickerson

Linebacker, Illinois

Nickerson is a player who can defend the run, and give depth at the linebacker position. He can play special teams next season which gives him a great chance to make the team as a seventh rounder.

235

Brian Allen

Cornerback, Utah

Allen is another tall and long cornerback prospect with upside to play on the outside. He likely could find his way on the practice squad, but the teammate of second round pick Marcus Williams will be worth it.
