Shortstop – High-Salary Option

Corey Seager $4400 – Seager owns a .500 batting average and .667 on base percentage against Jon Gray through 13 plate appearances. He has recorded five hits that include one double and one home run, two runs batted in, three runs scored, and three walks. Seager also gets the advantage of facing a right-handed pitcher in Coors Field, the most hitter friendly park in the League. ****

Shortstop -Mid-Range Option

Zach Cozart $2900 – Cozart hits a career .478 against Michael Wacha. In 23 at-bats, he has managed 11 hits, including three doubles and one triple. Last season, Cozart hit significantly better on the road, and today the Reds will visit the Cardinals in St. Louis. The only downside here is that there is not as much home run power, but if you are looking for consistency and safety, Cozart is your guy. **

Shortstop – High-Value Option

Marcus Semien $2700 –  Semien has had a frustrating start to his season so far, but things are looking brighter for him in today’s matchup. Semien faced Yu Darvish 10 times last year and finished with an on base percentage of .500 and a batting average of .375. Out of his three hits, he included one home run, belting it to left field. If Semien can wait on a pitch to hit, he has a good chance to hit another today. ***
