1. Sergio Garcia drains birdie putt in playoff to win 2017 Masters

Garcia’s journey to winning his first green jacket was a stressful one, but the champion knew he had two chances to win the Masters as he stepped up for his putt in the playoff.

When he faced pressure on the last hole before the playoff, needing to sink his putt to win the tournament, the ball rolled past the hole and shocked those watching on the green.

Garcia then set himself up perfectly for a birdie putt in the playoff, and as Rose bogeyed the hole, it was all but guaranteed that Garcia would take home the win. The two displayed tons of respect for one another and Garcia stepped up for his moment after Rose tapped in for bogey.

With a noticeable lack of pressure on his attempt, the crowd waited in anticipation for a celebration for Garcia. Garcia’s birdie putt rolled around the hole briefly before finding its way home, and Garcia celebrated his win with his girlfriend.

The moment was one that was long awaited in Garcia’s career, and he fought through adversity and close-calls all around the weekend to take home the green jacket.
