Fantasy baseball: 25 players you need to claim
By Brad Weiss
Delino DeShields is a good-looking player who can do so much on a baseball field. The Texas Rangers like to use him all over the lineup, and he is a pretty good defensive outfielder. This is going to lead to him getting a lot more chances to crack the lineup in 2017, and he can be pretty productive when he gets the chance to start for the Rangers.
He can play all over the field, and will be used up and down the Rangers lineup. He has good speed, when he was playing the majority of the time back in 2015, he swiped 25 bases. DeShields also is a good doubles hitter, so he is someone who can really help you with your OPS stat line if you need a little jolt in your lineup this season.
DeShields needs to cut down on his strikeouts, as that has been his Achilles Heel during his Major League career. Still, the Rangers have a ballpark that is great to hit in, and the 24-year-old knows how to take advantage of it. He is still very young, but he is very much apart of what the Rangers are trying to build for the future, and he could be someone who can seriously help your fantasy lineup, especially if one of your starters goes down due to injury.
