Fantasy baseball: 25 players you need to claim
By Brad Weiss
Ever since he came into the league, Danny Valencia has been able to do one thing really well, and that is hit the baseball. However, he is not owned in mostly all fantasy baseball formats, which is pretty surprising. Valencia is a good stick that can hit to all fields, and with the Seattle Mariners, he should get his fair share of opportunities to drive in runs.
The Mariners have a nice lineup, as guys like Nelson Cruz and Robinson Cano are going to hit a ton of home runs this season. Valencia can be a guy who benefits in a lineup like this, and he has shown in the past he can inch towards the 20 home run plateau. The third baseman hit 17 home runs last season, after hitting 18 in 2015, so it is not a far stretch to thing he can crank a couple more this season.
Seattle is going to put up runs, and with the Mariners, Valencia is going to get a chance to play everyday. He has good versatility for your fantasy baseball lineup as well, having eligibility in the outfield, and at third base. He is a player you can plug in most days and expect an RBI, or a couple of base hits, which is the kind of players that fantasy baseball championship are won with.
