Senators vs. Bruins live stream, Game 2: TV schedule, online and more
The Ottawa Senators and Boston Bruins will play a pivotal Game 2 in their first round series on Saturday. Here’s how you can watch.
On Saturday, the Ottawa Senators will get a chance to get revenge for Game 1’s loss to the Boston Bruins. Despite entering the third period with a 1-0 lead, they gave up two third period goals to lose 2-1 at home. Ottawa faces a very pivotal Game 2 on Saturday as they look to even up the series.
The Bruins beat the Sens for the first time this season on Wednesday. It wasn’t pretty, as they didn’t record a shot on goal in the second period. However, thanks to third period goals by Frank Vatrano and Brad Marchand, Boston got a much needed Game 1 win. Tuukka Rask was outstanding net, saving the Bruins behinds at times. Charlie McAvoy had a wonderful NHL debut skating alongside future Hall of Famer Zdeno Chara.
On the other side of the ice, Ottawa got a goal from Bobby Ryan, which is good news. However, he provided the only offense. Guy Boucher’s trap worked very well in the second period, but it didn’t work in the first or third periods. Ottawa doesn’t have the pure skill to match up with the Bruins, so running the trap flawlessly is key to them winning. Now they face a must win Game 2 because they can’t afford to leave Ottawa down 2-0 in the series.
