In some heartbreaking news, Dash Wilder reportedly injured his jaw over the weekend and will be out for a while

Injuries in professional wrestling are never a good thing, and they’re especially never a good thing when you have just been called up to the main roster from NXT. This, unfortunately, appears to be the case for one half of one of the best tag teams on the planet right now, Dash Wilder.

According to a report from Ryan Satin at Pro Wrestling Sheet, Wilder suffered a broken jaw over the weekend while working with Revival teammate Scott Dawson against Shinsuke Nakamura and Hideo Itami. The injury is reportedly bad enough that it will be keeping Wilder out of action for a couple months until the summer hits.

This is brutal news for Wilder, who again had just made his way up to the main roster with Dawson the night after WrestleMania. The two made their long overdue main roster debut, taking out Kofi Kingston of the New Day in the process after they had tallied their first win on the main roster over the popular trio. They would go on to defeat the New Day yet again on RAW last week, sending them on their way to SmackDown Live in the process as part of the Superstar Shakeup.

News like this is obviously heartbreaking for Wilder after just being called up, but it also has a major affect on Dawson as well. These two are legitimately one of the best tag teams out there in all of professional wrestling, so one has to wonder what Dawson will do now that his talented partner is on the shelf. You’d hate to see Dawson get lost in the shuffle, so it’ll be interesting to see how he’s utilized going forward the next few months.

But for now, here’s hoping that Wilder has a speedy recovery so he and Dawson can resume helping revitalize tag team wrestling in WWE on RAW.
