After a 4-5 start, the Los Angeles Rams closed this past season with seven straight losses. What does the 2017 schedule have in store?

It has been an interesting offseason for a franchise that enters 2017 looking for its first winning campaign since 2003 and first playoff appearance since ’04. However, the Los Angeles Rams are hoping to be relevant this fall.

This past year began with some early promise. After being blown out by the San Francisco 49ers on a Monday night in Week 1, the team came up with three straight wins. But that proved to be highly deceptive as the club won just once the remainder of 2016. Head coach Jeff Fisher would lose his job during the season. In January, the organization hired Sean McVay, who comes over from the Washington Redskins.

All told, the team will look to snap a seven-game losing streak when they take the field in early September.

These are the home and road opponents in 2017:

Home: San Francisco, Seattle, Arizona, Washington, Philadelphia, Houston, Indianapolis, New Orleans

Away: San Francisco, Seattle, Arizona, New York Giants, Dallas, Jacksonville, Tennessee, Washington

Here is the week-by-week schedule (updated upon release):

It was a productive offseason for the team. Now the Rams must make their numerous moves pay off. They added left tackle Andrew Whitworth, wide receiver Robert Woods and defensive end Connor Barwin via free agency. Meanwhile, we will see a lot more of 2016 first overall pick Jared Goff this year as he enters the next season firmly entrenched as the starting quarterback.

In recent seasons, the Rams have fared extremely well within the division. Of course, they were also the only club to lose to the 2-14 San Francisco 49ers this past season. Under McVay, it figures to be another intriguing year as the club continues to look for answers.
