The Los Angeles Angels added Cam Bedrosian to their list of injured relief pitchers to begin the season, leaving us to wonder who will close for them now.
The Los Angeles Angels placed Cam Bedrosian on the 10-day disabled list Saturday night, where he joins Huston Street and Andrew Bailey in that regard.
That leaves a big question mark for fantasy baseball owners looking for potential save opportunities out of the Angels bullpen. The two pitchers who seem in line for save opportunities at this point are Bud Norris and Blake Parker. Norris has made eight appearances so far this season while posting a 4.15 ERA and 10 strikeouts. Parker has performed a bit better so far by posting a 3.24 ERA and 12 strikeouts in nine appearances so far this season.
Angels manager Mike Scioscia may opt to use a committee approach at first until one of them stands out, but Angels beat writer Jeff Fletcher speculates that Norris would get the first shot at the closer role. Although Parker has put up better numbers thus far, Scioscia has seemed to trust Norris more by having him pitch in higher leverage situations this season.

It is a tough blow for the Angels and Bedrosian fantasy owners, as he was off to a good start this season by not allowing a run and posting three saves to begin the year. Bedrosian should not be dropped in fantasy leagues until more clarity on his injured groin is provided. While both Norris and Parker are worth speculative adds for Bedrosian owners, or anybody looking to add saves to their teams. Saves are hard to come by in fantasy, so anytime an opportunity like this one presents itself, it is worth taking a chance on it in hopes of it working out.
