Sidney Jones

Cornerback, Washington

Jones has a floor a lot lower than Barnett. However, if he can hit his ceiling, he could have been a player deserving to be taken ahead of Barnett. On tape, Jones is a stud. He is a fluid mover and is better than Kevin King, who went ten picks ahead of Jones.

However, there is now an Achilles injury which will affect the career of Jones forever. Achilles injury are not very common and they tend to take careers away with at least a year long recovery. Every word on Jones throughout his process has been good and he mentioned playing this season. The Eagles should take it slow and not worry about him this year with his ceiling coming in the future.

Rasul Douglas

Cornerback, West Virginia

The Eagles were able to add to Jones and find a player who can step in right away with Douglas. Douglas has great size and is a solid player coming downhill to make tackles and keeping plays in front of him. He does not have the hip swivel of a player such as Jones and lacks long speed as well. However, he is a great plug and play option and could come in as a rookie as one of the better options on the outside in 2017. Next year with Jones and Douglas on the outside and Jalen Mills in the slot is a dream scenario and may be able to come true with proper coaching.
