How you can watch the weigh-ins for the fight between Canelo Alvarez vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr

On Saturday, March 6, the boxing community will touch down in Las Vegas for the first marquee event of summer, which will be headlined by the catchweight fight between Mexican superstars Canelo Alvarez vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. at the T-Mobile Arena.

Alvarez (48-1-1, 34 KOs), was last seen decimating Liam Smith with a ninth round TKO in September, earning the WBO light middleweight title in the process. This victory pushed his win streak to six straight, which includes a sixth round knockout over Amir Khan and a decision over Miguel Cotto. To date, his last, an only, loss came at the hands of boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Chavez Jr. (50-2-1, 32 KOs), son of retired boxing champion Julio César Chávez, will be looking to push his win streak to three straight. In his most recent bouts, fans saw him earn back-to-back decisions over Britsch Britsch and Marcos Reeyes. Prior to these wins, Chavez Jr. suffered ninth round TKO loss after throwing in towel between against Andrzej Fonfara. This setback marked the first stoppage loss of his career.

However, before Alvarez and Chavez Jr. lock horns, both pugilists will have to hit the weigh-in mark of 164.5 pounds. To date, Alvarez has never weighed in at over 155-pounds making this one of the rare occasions he comes in as the undersized fighter. Chavez, on the other hand, has struggled with his weight in recent fights.

The weigh-ins begin at 5:30 p.m. ET and you can watch it below.
