Who will be racing in the 2017 Kentucky Oaks? Here’s a full list of the fillies racing to start what should be a fun weekend.

On Friday, May 5, the Kentucky Oaks will be held. It’s not quite as glamorous or famous as the Kentucky Derby, but it’s still one of the most popular horse races in the world. Fillies, or female horses, race in the Oaks. The race is arguably the most famous of all the exclusively filly races. While the Kentucky Derby does in theory allow females, they are very rare because they have to qualify against male horses.

Here’s a full list of all of the fillies racing, listed by post position. The winner will receive an $800,00 prize and a bunch of lilies.

  1. Ever So Clever
  2. Lockdown
  3. Mopotism
  4. Paradise Woods
  5. Jordan’s Henny
  6. Vexatious
  7. Farrell
  8. Sailor’s Valentine
  9. Wicked Lick
  10. Miss Sky Warrior
  11. Tequilita
  12. Daddys Lil Darling
  13. Abel Tasman
  14. Salty

Keep a very close eye on Miss Sky Warrior. It’s not a surprise she has the second best odds to win the Oaks. Except for her debut, Miss Sky Warrior has won every race she has been in. She also has experience on her side. Paradise Woods is one of the most experienced fillies in the field and has an impressive record and pedigree as well. She’s also been extraordinarily dominant in her three race career thus far, obliterating her competition.

Sadly, there aren’t many fun names in this field. Usually the Oaks has at least one horse with a comical name or at least a terrible dad joke pun. Vexatious describes someone who causes frustration or annoyance. Ever So Clever is a catchy name, but nothing more. Abel Tasman is named after a Dutch explorer most famous for first discovering New Zealand and Tasmania.
