Ranking the most vicious, outrageous, and disrespectful dunks in the history of the NBA.

For those who do not know, a disrespectful dunk is a unique type of poster dunk. A disrespectful dunk is a highlight that makes you jump out of your seat, blows your mind completely, makes you gasp in amazement and more often than not, makes you question why the opposing player even jumped.

Disrespectful dunks are often career-defining moments for one of the two (or sometimes three) players involved. Whether you’re on the right or wrong end of the dunk is up to you.

The individual throwing down the dunk will usually be remembered for one of the most vicious dunks in NBA history and will add yet another highlight to their arsenal. In most cases, the player being dunked on will be referred to as “that guy that (insert name here) dunked on that one time”; if even remembered at all (however, the exceptions for this make for the best highlights).

These dunks are sometimes followed by taunts, but are always followed by the crowd exploding in excitement or disbelief.

So remember, it’s not always about how you start, it’s about how you finish. Also, for reference, our list is a little less scientific than the in-season disrespectful dunk tracking The Ringer has been engaged in.
