The Premier League season comes to a close this weekend. What better way to celebrate than with the FanSided soccer staff’s teams of the season?

Chelsea were the best team in the Premier League this season, as evidenced by the fact they got more points than everyone else over the 38 matches. But rather than fill our Team of the Season with Blues players, we’ve decided to make things a littler more difficult, restricting ourselves to one player per team. Eden Hazard and N’Golo Kante were great, but they can’t both make the cut here. Tottenham’s stellar defense must be divided, as must Liverpool’s lethal attack. Hull will … wait, no, never mind. Alexis Sanchez was the most popular pick, earning a place in eight of nine teams, while Romelu Lukaku appears in seven. Eden Hazard, FanSided’s Player of the Year, only made the cut for five of our writers, though that probably has something to do with the number of alternatives at Chelsea. Michael Keane was also a popular choice; the Burnley center-back is in five teams.
