The 2017 Preakness Stakes was run on Saturday, May 20 from Pimlico Race Grounds in Baltimore, and you can catch the full race highlights here

Whenever it comes to the Triple Crown events in horse racing, it’s always thrilling. However, you could argue that few races are as exciting as the Preakness Stakes. Coming on the heels of the Kentucky Derby, you’re looking to see if a horse can go 2-for-2 in the opening legs of the Triple Crown. Subsequently, there is a buzz a Pimlico Race Grounds in Baltimore, MD and there was on Saturday for the 2017 Preakness Stakes.

Though the weather wasn’t ideal on Saturday, it was pronouncedly better than at the Derby. Muddy conditions and a full day of races on a track in those conditions made for a wild day at Chruchill Downs. More importantly, it made for a wholly unpredictable race.

In the end, though, it was Always Dreaming — one of the horses that was among the favorites — that came away victorious. Now Always Dreaming entered the 2017 Preakness Stakes with hopes of getting one step closer to matching American Pharoah’s thrilling run in the Triple Crown.

However, on a track in better conditions for the 2017 Preakness Stakes, there were other contenders. The biggest was one of the favorites at the Derby as well, Classic Empire. However, other horses such as Lookin At Lee and Conquest Mo Money were nipping at their heels.

Needless to say, it was a great race set up from the start for the 2017 Preakness Stakes. But how did things play out? Take a look at the full race video highlights from Cloud Computing’s upset win in the Preakness in 2017 below:

Regardless of the winner, though, it’s always fantastic fun to watch a Triple Crown race. Owners and trainers are thrilled, and so too are the spectators with Black-Eyed Susans, at the Preakness Stakes at least.
