19. Stevie Johnson pays tribute to Plaxico Burress

There was a time where we all thought that Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson was going to be the next great NFL wide receiver. He played for a Bills team that was directionless and had some bearded genius named Ryan Fitzpatrick slinging him the pigskin.

Johnson had his moments with the Bills for sure, but his longest lasting impression on the NFL was when he straight up trolled former New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Plaxico Burress during a touchdown celebration.

Burress infamously shot himself in the foot at a night club during his playing days. It wasn’t good, as he hurt himself and had to go to jail for the incident. Johnson got hit at the goal line on that slant, but made up for it with a hilarious celebration.

Going there by trolling Burress by mimicking him discharging his imaginary firearm on his thigh was bold. However, the NFL doesn’t exactly condone gun violence. Not even the NRA would have been cool with that celebration, but hey, this is just a perfect example how to get fined by the NFL due to excessive celebration. Keep weapons out of it and you should be semi-okay to celebrate the good times.
