Astros’ Carlos Correa makes an incredible catch (Video)

Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa made an incredible catch against the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday night.

The Houston Astros and Baltimore Orioles took the field on Saturday night, and Carlos Correa came to play. In the top of the eighth inning, Correa made an incredible over the shoulder catch that put the crowd into a frenzy.

The catch was so remarkable, the broadcasters lost control and let their inner fan out in awe of the play.

Astros’ second baseman Jose Altuve was also running toward the ball, but Correa flashed his glove and submitted his entry for the catch of the year sweepstakes. Correa also did his thing on the offensive side tonight, finishing 2-for-4 with a RBI, and helped guide the Astros to a 5-2 victory.

The Astros currently boast the best record in the MLB, and Correa is an integral part of why they have been so successful. After a subpar start to the season, Correa has turned it on in the month of May. Coming into tonight’s game, he was hitting for a .359 average, to go along with 5 home runs and 18 RBI’s this month.

Correa has been one of the best young players in the majors since he was called up in 2015. He was named the AL Rookie of the Year that season and hasn’t looked back ever since. He has been called a generational type player for his ability to play both sides of the ball exceptionally well, at the shortstop position. It’s hard to believe he is only 22-years-old since he does not appear overmatched in the majors. The future for Correa is only going to shine brighter.
