Some stores are open on Memorial Day. Is Kmart one of them?

Kmart is one of America’s most popular chain stores. It competes with the likes of Target and Walmart. The store is a great place to find just about anything you need, whether it be groceries, electronics, clothes, toys or diapers. On Memorial Day, people remember those that gave the ultimate sacrifice while protecting the freedoms of those in the United States. Some stores remain open. Kmart is one of them.

On Memorial Day weekend, people like to use their grill and cook things. Most will be using their grill for the first time during the 2017 calendar year. Friends and family will be coming over for parties and cookouts. Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial start of barbecue and cookout season. For all your needs that might arise, most Kmart stores are open from 9:00 a.m. ET to 9:00 p.m. ET. However, be sure to check with your local store because not all stores have the same hours.

Inevitably, you’ll need to make a run to somewhere to grab something you forgot or need. Hopefully, this doesn’t happen on Memorial Day because many stores won’t be open. This is a minor inconvenience, but with effective planning, you can work around it. Luckily, there are a few stores open that can help you in a pinch.

If you need things for your Memorial Day weekend cookouts, they will be open throughout the weekend during their usual business hours. The store even offers some holiday savings on things like electronics and toys. They also have you covered for ground beef, hot dogs, chips, soda and a lot of other things you might need for your cookout.

It’s advisable to get what you need before the last minute. That’s when stores tend to be the most crowded.
