It’s May. Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman has already fired shots at two rival wideouts: Cowboys’ Dez Bryant and Giants’ Odell Beckham Jr.

Unless you happen to play starting quarterback, the NFC East is clearly not a football division for the humble. It’s not even June yet, but Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman has already called out two of his biggest division rivals: Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant and New York Giants star wideout Odell Beckham Jr.

Norman definitely did some talking to Bleacher Report last week. Previously, Norman may have mentioned he wanted to lessen the inherent hostility. Well, that’s clearly not the case any more. Norman just went off, holding very little back in that interview.

He said a lot of things including, “…it’s going to be bad blood this year. You think the NFC East didn’t like each other before?…There’s going to be a lot of fines and maybe some suspensions.”

Norman continued talking about how recently acquired safety D.J. Swearinger is going to help exacerbate things. “I’m going to be honest with you. This [expletive] is going to get really ugly. Because I do have a safety that don’t give a [expletive] and I definitely don’t.”

No, it didn’t end there, as Norman would call Bryant “just a guy” and Beckham essentially a fake tough guy. Bryant did disappear at times during Dak Prescott’s rookie in Dallas. He could be on the decline as Dallas’ star No. 1 receiver. We all know about the head games Norman likes to play on Beckham. If they didn’t work, why did he play them?

Along with potentially an improving Philadelphia Eagles team than now features wideout Alshon Jeffery, the NFC East could be the most interesting division top to bottom in the NFC. All four teams can not only contend for a playoff berth, but any of them could win the division. It should be a lot of fun watching that division unfold this fall.
