Cowboys superstar Ezekiel Elliott signs first memorabilia deal

Fanatics signs exclusive deal for Zeke memorabilia.

Fanatics, which has grown exponentially over the past year highlighted by a recent equity partnerships with the NFL, NFL Players Association and Major League Baseball, as well as a “long-term multichannel apparel and retail partnership” with the NHL, will be the “sole distributor of authentic Ezekiel Elliott memorabilia” per the company’s announcement yesterday. The signing locks up Fanatics’ top-selling NFL player from last season.

Among the individual athletes Fanatics boasts on its roster are a who’s who across sports: Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, Steph Curry, Isaiah Thomas, Kris Bryant, Anthony Rizzo, David Ortiz and Alexander Ovechkin.

Financial terms have not been disclosed.

About his Fanatics deal, Elliott noted, “This is the first time I’m aligning with a company for officially licensed NFL memorabilia. The two most important things to me were to give my fans the coolest selection of memorabilia and to have a premium company authenticate and distribute my collectibles.”

Last year, looking to capitalize on his stardom, Elliott launched his own merch shop selling custom apparel. While the exclusive deal surrounds memorabilia and collectives, Elliott apparel can be found on Fanatics.com and across their platforms, which includes NFLShop.com.

The 2016 NFLPAWA Offensive Rookie of the Year’s endorsment portfolio also includes Nike, nutrition brand BioSteel, Dallas-based breastaurant Twin Peaks, and Panini.
