When will Wonder Woman next appear in the DCEU? We have you covered in terms of the iconic hero’s next appearance in a DC Comics film.

Starting on June 2, audiences around the United States will be able to see the first standalone film featuring Diana Prince when Wonder Woman hits theaters nationwide.

With the folks at Warner Brothers are in the relatively early stages of setting up a cinematic universe of their own with DC Comics properties (the DCEU, as it’s known), it certainly isn’t surprising that Wonder Woman received a film this early.

Man of Steel kicked things off in 2013, but Wonder Woman is only the second movie to feature a singular lead character as opposed to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad, which were more ensemble pieces.

The character of Wonder Woman, portrayed by Gal Gadot, stood out in Batman v Superman. She now takes center stage in a standalone film.

The latest movie in the DCEU also features a number of characters from the comics, including Steve Trevor, Hippolyta, Antiope, Doctor Poison and Ares.

The movie has certainly generated some significant buzz so far, so it will be worth watching to see how it fares at the box office.

With the DCEU just starting to form, this certainly won’t be the last we see of Diana Prince. She’ll likely be a staple in Warner Brothers’ DC films moving forward.

So when will the character appear again in the DCEU?

That would be in Justice League, which will open in theaters later this year on November 17, 2017.

While audiences wait for that movie to be released, they can go see Wonder Woman in early June. Patty Jenkins directed the film. She previously helmed 2003’s Monster and episodes of television shows like The Killing, Entourage and Arrested Development.
