AAA 400 Drive for Autism: NASCAR weekend TV schedule from Dover
By Nick Tylwalk
With all three top NASCAR series in action at Dover, there’s plenty to watch on TV this weekend for racing fans.
Dover International Speedway doesn’t always get the credit it deserves for its uniqueness on the NASCAR circuit, but there’s something about the Monster Mile that is all its own. It’s got short track action but higher speeds than the half-mile tracks, and it’s a fun place to watch races in person because there’s almost always racing going on all around the oval.
It’s also a place where all three of NASCAR’s top series visit at the same time. That means plenty to watch this weekend at Dover.
Could the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series see another first-time winner after Austin Dillon claimed the honor in Charlotte? Well, Chase Elliott almost conquered the Monster Mile last spring, and he’s a year wiser now.
The XFNITY and Camping World Truck series are getting into the time of year where they are racing nearly every week, so the drivers will be looking to start the summer out on the right foot. A Dover triumph could take a lot of pressure off as the weather continues to get hotter.
Next: NASCAR could make stage, point changes for 2018
