I’m coming home, tell the world I’m coming home. That’s what Dion Waiters would be singing as he arrives at Philly if he chooses to sign with the 76ers. Surprisingly, the deal might actually work out for both sides. The 76ers are finally enjoying the fruit of all of their tanking, as Joel Embiid looks like a superstar in the making. They’ll have point guard Ben Simmons making his rookie debut and a lot of other solid players.

Adding Dion Waiters, believe it or not, they would get a veteran presence and a consistent scoring threat, aside from Embiid. The 76ers could also use some three-point shooting in their arsenal next year, as they ranked 23rd in the NBA. They also ranked 27th in shooting from the field. They had the same issues that Chicago faced during the season as well.

Like it was mentioned before, Waiters has consistently improved his shooting during his five seasons in the NBA. They’ll definitely have the salary cap space to spend on Waiters and should be one of the front-runners for his services.

Not to forget, the 76ers also have the No. 3 overall pick in the NBA Draft. If they can add a top player that way, along with Waiters, they can be formidable heading into next season.
