Samoa Joe chokes out Paul Heyman on WWE RAW (Video)

Samoa Joe is now the No. 1 Contender for the Universal Championship and sent a message to Brock Lesnar by choking out Paul Heyman on WWE RAW

With a victory that few saw coming at WWE Extreme Rules, Samoa Joe became the No. 1 Contender for the WWE Universal Championship. At July’s Great Balls of Fire, Samoa Joe will challenge Brock Lesnar for the strap. Thus, WWE RAW on Monday night from Wilkes-Barre, PA was obviously going to feature Joe having something to say.

Sure enough, he was out to the ring to kick off the second hour of the show. In doing so, Samoa Joe said that he wasn’t afraid and would bring the fight to The Beast Incarnate. While no one doubted his words, they did summon The Advocate, Paul Heyman.

Heyman came out to the ramp and then walked all the way to the ring, entering it. In typical smarmy fashion, he was polite and cordial while also being threatening. With this, however, it seemed that all was well after he shook hands with the new No. 1 Contender. However, Joe pulled him around and showed that things weren’t okay.

The Samoan Submission Machine pulled Heyman in close and menacingly told The Advocate exactly what was about to happen. He told him he was going to put his arm around his throat and choke him out. And then he told Heyman to run and tell Lesnar about what was coming to him. Then, of course, Samoa Joe kept his word:

Once in the ring, no one has any doubts about what Lesnar and Joe will be able to do. The question, though, was about building drama up until Great Balls of Fire. This obviously helps to solve that problem.

What’s more, this makes Joe look like an absolute monster. He’s been built up as that to now, but this further solidifies it. And if you’re going to take down a Beast Incarnate, you’re going to need to be a monster.
