Taking a look at the 2017 NCAA Baseball Tournament Super Regionals schedule and sites as teams try to punch a ticket to the College World Series
The 2017 NCAA Baseball Tournament is in full swing and the Regionals have all been completed. That means we’re down to 16 teams vying for a spot in the College World Series. The next stop on the road to Omaha is the Super Regionals. On Tuesday, the eight sites and the schedule for all eight series in the 2017 NCAA Baseball Tournament Super Regionals were announced. And after the events of the Regionals, things look like they could get wild.
Last year, the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers were a dark horse that came out of nowhere to win it all. There are a number of teams looking to follow their path and slay giants along the way. Perhaps the darkest of horses is Davidson. In their first ever NCAA Baseball Tournament, they beat the No. 2 overall seed North Carolina Tar Heels twice to advance.
Meanwhile, other teams such as Sam Houston State and Missouri State have the same thing in mind. To get to Omaha, though, they all have big-time programs and teams to topple. The question will be if they have enough magic left to do so.
Here’s a look at the 2017 NCAA Baseball Tournament Super Regionals schedule that was released on Tuesday morning:

In addition to the dark horses trying to make headway, there’s plenty more to look forward to in the Super Regionals.
Next: Each State's Sports Mt Rushmore
The matchup between Cal State Fullerton and Long Beach State is most definitely going to be heated. What’s more, the SEC matchup between LSU and Mississippi State should be a tightly contested affair. And who could turn down a rivalry series between Kentucky and Louisville. All in all, this should be a fantastic run to the College World Series.
